A Conversation Between New and Old

Working to a design by Chris Pommer of Plant Architect, a century farmhouse near Creemore was transformed with a “new meets old” addition and renovation. Large windows in the modest modern addition overlook a pond and rolling farmland beyond. A bright and modern kitchen, sitting room and master suite make for sunny living while the familiar lines of the original farmhouse contain a cozy living/dining room and guest bedrooms. Attention to detail was key to the success of the project.

“When looking for a contracting partner for our award-winning Toronto architects, PS was the obvious regional choice. We visited samples of their other local projects and were impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Porter Skelton went above and beyond to make sure the process was enjoyable; they take pride in the fact that they are part of a very important process, helping clients build beautiful homes they will love for generations. They are knowledgeable, talented with obvious passion and pride in their work.

From the first meeting through helping make sure the paintings were hung, PS provided consistent and quality leadership, helping with what must have seemed like minor details and questions with a sense of humour and goodwill. They are first class and we absolutely recommend them.”
